RECORD RUN HERALDS FASTER TRAINS FROM 15 DECEMBER

On Wednesday 23rd October, a new record was set for a Swansea to London train which travelled non-stop from Cardiff to London in just 1 hour 34 minutes, 4 minutes faster than the previous record set in 1985 (net time from Swansea was 2 hours 21 minutes).
It marks the launch of a totally revised Great Western timetable from 15th December when journey times between London and Swansea will drop by up to 14 minutes with the fastest journeys (two trains per day) in 2 hours 35 minutes (current fastest is 2hours 59 minutes)
